TACA CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS:

    

  With new online modules offered by the V.G. Young Institute of County Government, you can fulfill your Ethics mandate without leaving home!

Two ethics courses are available to any property tax professional, or anyone needing to satisfy a required Ethics training mandate. (TDLR Course Numbers: 9166 and 9167)

Participants who successfully complete a course will earn one (1) CE unit as approved by the Property Tax Assistance Division of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

Visit the Online Education page of the V.G. Young Institute website for more information and to create an account. The fee for each Ethics course is $30 and payment must be by Visa or MasterCard.

 What to expect:

 

• Courses consists of tutorial, comprehensive review and evaluation
• Each course will take an hour to complete
• Participants can print their certificate upon course completion
• The Institute will report participant completion to TDLR

 

Dear Chief Appraisers and Tax Assessor-Collectors: We are pleased to announce two new videos available on the Property Tax Assistance Division’s website. “Ethics for Property Tax Professionals” will help property tax professionals navigate complex ethical issues in the property tax industry. “Where to Find It in the Tax Code” is a primer for new appraisal district and tax assessor-collector employees. The video covers some of the more widely used and referenced sections of the Tax Code. Continuing education credit is available for professionals who watch the videos and are registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
